SendGrid Integration
Send transactional emails, follow-ups, and campaign task emails using your SendGrid account.
Overview
Connect SendGrid at the workspace level so OutCallerAI sends email from your verified sender—follow-ups, notifications, reminders, and campaign task delivery.
Capabilities
- Transactional email: Deliver lead follow-ups and system messages via SendGrid.
- Workspace sender: Use your own API key and verified From address.
- Test sends: Send a test email from the integration Setup tab after saving credentials.
Prerequisites
- A SendGrid API key with Mail Send permission.
- A verified sender identity or authenticated domain in SendGrid.
- Access to the receiving inbox for a delivery test.
Setup
- Open Integrations: Go to the Integrations Dashboard and select SendGrid.
- Connect and open Setup: Click Connect SendGrid, then switch to the Setup tab.
- Add credentials:
- From email: A sender identity verified in SendGrid.
- API key: A SendGrid API key with Mail Send permission.
- Save and test: Save the form, then use Send test email to confirm delivery.
Campaign tasks that send email will use this integration when SendGrid is connected for the workspace.
How it works
OutCallerAI uses the saved workspace credentials when an email task or supported follow-up sends a message. SendGrid handles provider delivery and sender authentication.
Verify the integration
Use Send test email in the Setup tab. Confirm delivery, sender identity, and the message's SendGrid activity before enabling production email tasks.
Troubleshooting
- If the sender is rejected, verify the From address in SendGrid Sender Authentication.
- If authentication fails, replace the API key with one that has Mail Send permission.
- If a test succeeds but a task does not send, confirm the task is configured for email delivery.
Disconnect
Select Disconnect Integration in the SendGrid drawer. OutCallerAI removes the saved workspace credentials and stops routing new email tasks through SendGrid.
