Summarizer
Turn recordings into structured briefs and editable summaries.
Summarizer converts uploaded or captured recordings into reusable written output. Use it when a team needs a consistent brief, meeting summary, or review artifact rather than a calling campaign.
A brief is the reusable instruction set for a category of recordings. Individual files are processed inside that brief, which keeps the requested structure consistent across a batch.
Typical workflow
- Select Create brief and define how recordings assigned to the brief should be summarized.
- Open the brief and choose one or more audio files.
- Select Upload and summarize. The page reports progress across the selected files.
- Open a processed recording to review its transcript and generated result.
- Edit the brief when future recordings need a different summary structure.
The brief list is the reusable configuration layer; recordings live inside a brief and inherit its summarization instructions. Failed files are reported separately so a successful batch does not need to be uploaded again.
Write a useful brief
Describe the audience, required sections, facts that must be preserved, and information that should be omitted. Ask for observable content from the recording rather than unsupported conclusions. If a summary feeds another system, keep headings and terminology stable so reviewers know where to find each field.
Review generated output
Generated summaries should be reviewed before they are treated as a customer record, compliance artifact, or business decision. Compare important names, dates, commitments, and numerical values with the source recording or transcript. Update the brief when the same correction appears repeatedly; edit only the individual result when the issue is specific to one recording.
Recordings and transcripts can contain customer data. Upload only material your workspace is permitted to process and apply the same access and retention controls used for Conversations.
